Creating Cats and Dogs

We have been doing make and do for reading.  We made cats and dogs out of cardboard, following instructions.

Drew's Mini Glass House

                                                                   

Wow! This is Drew's mini glass house with 5 corn seeds.  It looks so so awesome.  Drew even has a few little roots and 1 long root that has come out of the seed.  I hope the whole class has some too.  Our whole class has these.  Some mould and moss is on the corn seeds beacuse they aren't the proper growing seeds, just popping corn.  Drew's mini glass house looks cool!!!!

Athletics Day

Ellie, Mac, Liem, Pasi and Otto are waiting for the baton to do their sprint during the class relay.  Our athletics day was held yesterday on our school field.  Just about everybody had a wonderful day, and our favourite events were sprints, high jump, long jump, sack racing, vortex throwing, novelty racing, long distance running, shot put, discus, and the teacher relay was great fun to be in and watch. 

Hand Sculpture

On Friday we made hand Sculptures. We put vaseline on our hand. It was slimy and stopped the plaster sticking. When the plaster dried we used the scissors and cut it a little bit so we could take the plaster off.  We put them by the window to make them dry.  Pasi 

Bamboo

Our new blog background is bamboo.  Did you know bamboo is a type of grass?

SNOW!!!

Hi,
Hope you have had some fun playing in the snow.  I've been outside to borrow some milk from my neighbour (what a time to run out!) and walked down the drive to get her paper for her.

Rock Climbing

We have got a new playground.  It is fun for people to play on.  It is hard to climb up on and very slippery on wet days.  Everyone always climbs up to the top.  Some people hate it because it hurts their arms and is slippery.  It is fun to play on.  Liem and Marley climbed it.  They said it was very hard because it hurt their arms.  Maybe they just need bigger muscles!!
